Wheeler Park

One of the newest parks in Lamar is Wheeler Park, located in the Wheeler subdivision off East Sixth Street. This beautiful park features a two-acre fishing pond, a playground, and a shelter complete with restroom facilities. Wheeler Park is also the site of the Memorial Avenue of Trees. The avenue consists of trees donated to the park in memory of a loved one or to commemorate an event. All the trees in this avenue are lovely Red Sunset Maples.
